Shiv is currently pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He completed his MTech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar in 2022. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and electric vehicle technologies are something, he is very passionate about. His research interests include life extension, electrothermal aging modeling, fast charging, and performance optimization of LIBs.
Tanzeela is currently pursuing her PhD at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. She completed her MTech in Power Electronics & Electrical Drives from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar in 2022. Her research interests are centered on developing and implementing sustainable solutions, such as renewable energy integration and transportation electrification, to meet the modern world’s energy needs. Her current research focuses on the modeling, design, development, and control of high power density, efficient, wide bandgap device-based power electronic converters for offboard fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle chargers.
Ramanathan is pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar with a distinguished Director's fellowship. He has completed his MTech with the Institute Gold medal from IIT Gandhinagar in 2024. He earned his BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala, under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. He is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy-based solutions for transportation electrification. He worked on universal onboard chargers for electric vehicles in his bachelor's, followed by design and control of the power electronic interface for transportation electrification, during his master's. He has work experience of one year in ZF Wabco India Limited as a system engineer. His current research is focused on developing a power-dense and cost-optimized universal power electronic converter with renewable energy integration, catering to diversified applications.
Gupteswar is currently pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He earned his Master’s in Science from IIT Gandhinagar in 2024. His Master's thesis was primarily focused on the modeling of photovoltaic panels and cost-benefit analysis for using PV and battery systems to meet energy demand. He earned his Bachelor's in Science with honors in Physics from Berhampur University, Odisha. His research interests are strongly driven by the goal of developing and implementing sustainable solutions for growing energy requirements, primarily focusing on developing microgrid control algorithms to minimize the cost of energy using renewable energy sources.
Ambika is pursuing her PhD in Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. She completed her MTech in Power Engineering and Control Systems from IIT Gandhinagar in January 2025. She earned her BTech in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur in 2022. She focused on controller design for neighborhood power transactions and battery useful life prediction in her MTech thesis. Her research interests include renewable energy integration into the grid, battery safety technology, electric vehicle technology, and machine learning.
Arpita is a PhD 1st year student at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. She completed her MTech from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow in Power Systems in 2017 and BTech in Electrical Engineering from MMMUT, Gorakhpur. She is passionate about smart, renewable, and efficient technologies. Her research interest includes intelligent systems for electric vehicles.
Harsh Kumar is a first-year PhD student with professional experience at Maruti Suzuki, Exide Energy, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). He completed his Master’s degree in Electric Vehicle Technology from L.D. College of Engineering in 2025 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Palanpur. His academic and professional interests include electric vehicles and advanced energy storage systems, with a focus on innovative technologies driving sustainable transportation and power solutions.
Sivnarayan is currently pursuing my PhD in Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He completed his BTech in Electrical Engineering from Iter,Siskha 'O' Anusandhan deemed to be university, Bhubaneswar in 2023. He has qualified GATE in the year 2024. He is very passionate about electric vehicles technology. His research interest is on smart battery safety system for electric vehicle.
Vishal interested in multi-storage energy system design and integration, with emphasis on solving real-life energy management challenges. He completed his M.E. in Power Electronics from Gujarat Technological University in 2021 and has over 3 years of teaching experience in electrical engineering. His research focuses on the coordination of multiple storage technologies such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, flywheels etc to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in advanced energy systems. His areas of interest include control strategy development for optimal storage utilization, system-level efficiency improvement, dynamic load handling, and enhancing the reliability of PV–battery–EV hybrid systems and microgrid applications, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and practical implementation.
