IITGN Research Snip 3.28 showcased the work done in MUSE Lab, focusing on pennate muscles, a type of skeletal muscle that has its muscle fibres arranged at an angle (pennation angle) to the axis of the muscle, giving them a feather-like shape. Ultrasound Shear Wave Elastography (SWE) is employed to quantify the effect of pennation on SWE imaging, helping to assess and validate ultrasound algorithms for muscle assessment.
