Akshant joined the group in August 2019. He did his B.Pharm from Mumbai university in 2013 and MS.Pharm in Pharmaceutics from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ahmedabad (NIPER-A) in 2019. He is working on drug delivery using nano-impregnated biopolymers for wound healing applications. Akshant has published couple of International journal papers in Advanced Powder Technology , Pharmaceutical Research. . Akshant has recently published his work in ACS Appl. Bio Mater., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, ACS Applied Nano Materials, , ACS Applied Bio Materials and submitted his PhD thesis on "Engineered polymer formulations for for wound healing & drug delivery applications".
Somya Sadaf

Somya joined the group in Aug 2022 as a PhD student. She has done integrated M.Sc on Bio Engineering and M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from BIT Mesra in 2019 and 2021 respectively. Before joing the group, Somya worked as Research Fellow in IIT Bombay under the NCAP progject from MoEF and CC. She is working on 2D functional material composites (new class of Mxenes & biopolymer) for applicaiotns in energy & environment. She has already published papers in International journal Chemosphere. Somya has received the PMRF Fellowship in 2023.
Ranjeet Kumar

Ranjeet joined the group in Aug 2022 as a PhD student. He did his M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT BHU and BE from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET). Before joing the group, Ranjeet worked in Industry for about a year as Technology Transfer Engineer. He is working on functional materials such as the new class of Metal Organic Framework (MOF) for CO2 capture.
Vruddhi Jani

Vruddhi joined the group in August 2023. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering from VGEC, Ahmedabad in 2018 and her Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar in 2021. Before joining as a PhD student, she also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at IIT Gandhinagar and at Defence Laboratory Jodhpur for six months each followed by approximately 1 year in a start-up, “Global Carbon Solutions” in collaboration with our group. Presently, she is working on the synthesis of nanomaterials for various applications such as CO2 capture, its conversion, and energy storage. She also has published a paper in the Ceramics International journal..
