Prof. Karla Mercado-Shekhar has been appointed as a Member of the Advisory Editorial Board of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, the official journal of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB). The journal is a premier venue for publications in Biomedical Ultrasound and has been published since 1973.

Profs. Himanshu Shekhar and Karla Mercado-Shekhar are part of the core committee that is bidding to organize the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI 2022) in Kolkata, India. ISBI is a prestigious annual meeting which sees a gathering of all the whose-who of biomedical imaging, jointly organized by IEEE Signal Processing Society and IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. We hope that we can bring this prestigious conference to India!
