Prof. Vaibhav Tripathi

I'm an Engineer turned Neuroscientist interested in understanding the most complex machine in the universe. My undergraduate degree was in Computer Science Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering followed by industrial experience. I was intrigued by the brain and switched to Neuroscience. After pursuing a Master's degree in Computational Biology, I started a Ph.D. in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University working with Prof. David Somers on attention, working memory, and predictive models of cognition in healthy and patient populations. Then I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Brain Science at Harvard University working with Prof. Randy Buckner to understand the function and organization of large scale brain networks focussing on subcortical regions like the pons, dentate and the thalamus.

Palkin Arora

Palkin is passionate about understanding how neural and physiological systems shape human experience. After completing her PhD at INMAS-DRDO, New Delhi, where she investigated the temporal dynamics of the HPA axis and its systemic and neuronal consequences post traumatic brain injury, she joined the INT Lab at IIT Gandhinagar as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Her current work focuses on integrating multimodal approaches to understand meditation and cognition. She is interested in how brain networks interact with neurological and metabolic systems to shape resilience and well-being. Beyond lab, she is a yoga and meditation practitioner, who also loves writing about science and inner growth at The Inner Lab ( https://theinnerlab.wordpress.com/).

Team Member 1 Photo
Yashaswini Ajay

Yashaswini has done a BSc in Biomedical Science from NMIMS University and is currently a second year Master's student in Cognitive Science at IITGn. She wants to study the relationship between microscale biological expression with macroscale brain network organization by linking omics with neuroimaging such as fMRI to understand functional and structural differences between healthy and neurodegenerative brains. By exploring how molecular interactions influence communication across brain regions, she aims to uncover biomarkers and therapeutic insights for disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
