The Fire Engineering Research Laboratory (FERL) and the Centre for Safety Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar actively participated in Colab 2025, a collaborative research and innovation exhibition aimed at fostering industry–academia engagement.
At the event, FERL showcased its state-of-the-art research facilities, ongoing projects, and experimental capabilities in the domain of fire safety engineering, built environment safety, and risk-informed design. The exhibition stall featured technical posters, research demonstrations, and informational material highlighting FERL’s contributions to fire dynamics research, safety standards, and performance-based engineering.
Faculty members and researchers from the Centre for Safety Engineering interacted with participants from academia, industry, and government organizations, discussing research outcomes, consultancy opportunities, and potential collaborative projects. The interactions emphasized the role of scientific research in enhancing safety practices and promoting resilient infrastructure.
Participation in Colab 2025 provided a valuable platform for FERL and the Centre for Safety Engineering to disseminate research insights, engage with stakeholders, and strengthen collaborative networks aimed at advancing safety engineering research and real-world implementation.
