We believe that high-quality healthcare technologies should be equitable and widely accessible. Ultrasound is growing rapidly as a diagnostic and therapeutic modality due to its low cost, non-ionizing nature, and portability, and has the potential to significantly impact healthcare delivery.  The Medical Ultrasound Engineering (MUSE) Lab at IIT Gandhinagar aims to develop and translate innovative ultrasound-based techniques to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases. Research efforts are multidisciplinary and are grounded in principles of biomedical engineering, imaging, acoustics, signal processing, and instrumentation.

The 1st IEEE South Asian Ultrasonics Symposium (SAUS) at IIT Gandhinagar was a great success! Thanks to the participants for joining us and supporting this inaugural event.

The MUSE Lab had a good showing at the IEEE SAUS  held in our home ground with lab members contributing to 8 podium talks and 12 posters, which were selected after double-blind peer review. The talks and posters focused on a range of biomedical ultrasound topics, including shear wave viscoelastography, quantitative ultrasound for tissue characterization, ultrasound-mediated phase-change nanodroplets, image-guided therapy, and development of viscoelastic tissue-mimicking phantoms. Manu KS and Jagruti Patil also won 1st and 3rd best poster prizes, respectively. Congratulations to our MUSE Lab members!
